Hi Brian, - OFF TOPIC Yes they packed mules (some wine and beer that didn't do to well in the altitude). They weren't sherpa's of course but they referred to them as such.They packed up the luxuries that were nice to have since they did the 2 week trip on the trail. I can't recall how long the ascent took but the descent was relatively quick. Thay hang with airline employees who do trips very inexpensively.One of the couples that I was biking with in Ireland is planning a trip to Maccu Piccu for around 1000.00 per person - excluding air fare which is a freebie for them. They liked the trip so much ,6 months later they climbed Kilamonjaro<sp?>. It's a great experience - you should have a great trip.Especially when we sell Jdsu for a quickie at 14.hehehe Bob
