Preoccupation with declining gold lease rates has been aired several times by people whose opinions I respect more than my own.Frankly I find all very difficult to fathom, and a bit above my head. However I have a vague impression that there may be a bright side to declining lease rates;that is ,if gold prices are seen to be declining it makes sence to lease ,not buy, since the gold may be replaced at a lower price. If prices are seen to be raising the opposite applies and leasing becomes too risky to contemplate and demand to lease falls leading to lower rates.
Again, this is all very fuzzy to me and I would appreciate anybodys opinions to help clearify my understanding.
Thanks to everybody on this thread, and I wish I could contribute more concretely.Unfortunately I am not very good on the nuts and bolts of individual stocks.
