Thanks for the post. Regarding >>>are we going to have the usual top out august and decline into october lows? <<<

It seems to me we have inverted all the previous cycles thus I would not be surprised if we rallied a bit instead. Nt a rally like the last few years but maybe a creep up before dropping as warnings season hits again for next quarter.

Am I trading on this? No way!! -ggg- Just noting that the buy the new moon and sell the new has been flip flopped the last year, the X-mas rally was a decline instead and the January drop instead rallied, the declines in April - May were rallies up instead and the pop into July has been a decline thus far. A bear is the opposite of a bull and so far, it looks like many of the old patterns we could count on have inverted also.

I was looking for a move up then a drop later this week but thus far we have just gone pretty much sideways. The charts could REAL important soon to see if we are just consolidating ( forming a bullish flag ) or if we move up and form a bearish wedge instead.

One thing to keep in mind for option traders too is the longer we stay confined to a tight range, the more a straddle play may come into play as the Bollinger bands tighten up hinting at a major break one way or the other. Non-option players will just have to hope that the move comes back to retest key resistance or support before running away later and buy that retest with close stops. JMHO

Good Luck,

Lee
