Off topic - Richard, i know you follow forestry issues, and there may be others who do here as well ... here's a thread on the softwood lumber threat we're under at the moment - Subject 51596

Please don't be put off by the light-hearted and overly diplomatic-sounding title of the thread, i do indeed regard it as a serious question and intend to get into as much depth as possible on it ... it's going to be another long hard battle, we'll need to be familiar with each specific detail - who exactly these lobbyists are, who exactly pays them how much, where each of both parties live, who/what each of both parties sleep with, do their wives know yet, stuff like that ... it's war for a while for the colonial boys, it would appear ... Realpolitik, ya gotta love it, eh

Good to see Kerm back for a bit ... it's a great thread mostly, this one, i never miss a post ... sort of missed the oil boom for the major part, but always watching ... cheers all
