I have no idea why you think as you do on this topic. It should be clear to everyone that the strong voter turnout on Nov. 8 was because Republicans hated Gore, and Democrats hated Bush. As a result, both sides got out the vote. The election was highly divisive, as is evidenced by the 5-4 Supreme Court vote handing the election to GWB. The country remains highly divided ... mostly an urban vs. suburban/rural split ... on major issues.
