Blow Hard Dan - Re: "It's coming, but, as usual, AMD will be a leader in implementing mass production of the latest technology.
And, as usual, Intel will be the last to major semi chip company to incorporate new technology."

Just like Intel did not use copper at the 0.18micron level - and STILL PRODUCED 1.8 GHz Pentium 4's whereas AMD's vaunted copper process can only get to 1.4 GHz.

Your arguments ignore THE FACTS - indicating a complete Denial Of Service attack going on in your mind.

Blow Hard Dan- Re: "the NGIO specification will be ready about the same time as HyperTransport chips enter volume production)."

Hyper transport chips will be in mass production with Intel CPUs - the XBOX.

Look for Intel to be a major beneficiary - long before AMD !

Dan3,

<Re: Doesn't it concern you that IBM or Rotomola cannot PRODUCE anything on SOI with great performance ?

It's coming, but, as usual, AMD will be a leader in implementing mass production of the latest technology>

Leader? IMO, a more appropriate description of AMD is that of a guinea pig, a lab rat for IBM and Motorola scientists.
