yeah well i don't think you or most others on these boards are good enough stock pickers to find the 2 or 3 out of 10 that will outperform. the last several years people convinced themselves they were good stock pickers but in actuality they were only making fantastic gains because a rising tide was lifting all boats. now that the tide is out, investors are left with the reality that they are only good stock pickers in a speculative frenzy.

if the majority of commodities are going to do well over the next 10 years and the majority of stocks are going to perform poorly, it seems to me that the best strategy is to focus on the asset class where one has the greatest chance for success. investing in commodities for the next decade will be like shooting fish in a barrel while investing in non-resource related stocks will be like tip-toeing through a minefield. have at it, i don't want to step on a landmine.
