Well, Hank, the long and short of it is this: I've heard so much about ELON, why CAN'T I hang around, post what I want, read what I want and talk to whom I want about this company. RE: your criticism that I'm a johnny one note about the FINITE game ELON is in, then you don't understand my point. Neither does Spiral 3. Doesn't change the fact that it is a valid point. LOCUS of utility control is another point I'm certain of. I'm not going to try to please you or anyone else by posting new posits when there is not wrong with the perfectly good "old posits." Furthermore, I'm trying to stay on topic, which you jumped in on. If you say that the metering thing has been discussed to death with you and you personally don't want to read anymore elocution on it, then fine. Hit the next button everytime I'm drilling that thing home to someone. As far as why I "bother with people who have lost money in ELON," here's THAT short answer: they are friends and they WRITE to me and ask me what I think, and I come over to the thread and check the price and the current posits du jour. Are you saying I should place everyone who has lost money on ELON on ignore so they can't write to me via SI and my personal email box. That's going to run into several dozen blocked posters and I don't think I want to do that. Now, what was your other gripe? Oh, yes, you didn't like my genuine statement of being willing to rejoice with you when you bank the actual profits. How come? You only have paper profits by your own admission. YOU, pal, were the one who said you were long the stock. Now, pardon me all t'hell, but that sounds like a person who hasn't sold yet. So, I don't know if you are paper profitable or not, just that you haven't booked profits OR losses since you are still LONG. Logical enough for you? Had a total stranger write to me just THIS WEEK, thanking me for being a voice of moderation SPRING OF 2000, on this ELON thread when all the ardent "bulls" were running amok last year. He made 200% on ELON, on paper, and watched it disappear in 30 days, absolutely shell-shocked. It can happen again. And yes, in ELON. Then he thanked me for the 3 books I listed on this self-same thread on improving one's ability to make AND KEEP/BOOK/BANK profits in trading equities/bonds/indices/commodities, you name it. And he said he'd made up his ELON losses and then some and was up 65% on the year so far as a trader, and then thanked me again. So, I guess as long as I'm helping someone, whom I've never met and yes, irritating the rest of you whom I don't necessarily want to meet, then I guess it's all a wash, right? SO, you post for the reasons you want to post, .... and I'll pop in and say hello, .....and pick on some absurdity posted by Spiral3, .....and become engaged in what I thought was civil conversation with the likes of you ....and possibly leave again. Now, did I miss answering any of your questions? SELAH, shorty! :
