I have no problem with the particular case you mentioned. I suspect the woman had other reasons that she did not convey to you. But even if that's the criterion it's a reason. Forcing all Americans to think more and learn is a positive force for literacy and informed participation. I don't see the negatives.

It's not our fault that no one can keep liberals from reasoning with their backsides. It certainly would improve the rest of the electorate, though.

Sadly, I knew many women who voted for Clinton because they thought he was good looking or charming. Not, I would say, a proper set of criteria for judging whether someone will be a good President.
