There is a graph on page C5 of The New York Times, print version, today, saturday. It compares the S&P 500 to the Lehman treasury bond index and gold over the last 12 weeks. It makes gold look very interesting.
Bonds finished on top ,but only in the last week, gold had higher highs and generally higher lows than bonds.
Stocks alone finished in negative territory and markedly so.
