"no court has agreed with your view that RMBS' ideas were obvious" This issue was not yet challenged in courts, AFAIK. In case you were not attentive enough, the originality of Rambus ideas was challenged on this thread several times, by referring to SCI (Scalable Computer Interface) that predates Rambus application. What is hard to understand for some here that some reasearchers do their job and make their discoveries and technologies public, for the good of humanity. Some tried to change jobs, misappropriate the "rights", and then patent the ideas for their personal enrichment only. - Ali
