They made no moves that were bolder than you taking out the garbage when you notice it has begun to smell.

You call laying off several thousand people no more difficult than taking out the garbage?

Cary, get a clue!

Cary, I think given the info that I have JDSU is making making "bold" moves to streamline itself for the future. I believe JDSU will effectively be downsizing by 55% of its staff. SUNW won't layoff despite falling business. Don't forget even with all the bad news or should I say accounting moves they still substantially increased their cash position. I prefer cash too a fluffed up balance sheet loaded with goodwill that didn't exist. The big #'s make for good headlines but the fact is they increased their cash position. Time will tell but any shorts that are hanging around are hoping for a few bucks at best while their risk is enormous. The smart shorts were there when the stock was bloated at over $100. I doubt given the current risk/reward ratio's that the smart ones are still hanging on. Just my view.
