Re: the only server chips Intel cut were the small cache Foster Xeon ones

There are no large cache Foster Xeons - only small cache Foster Xeons. My point is that we're midway through a 6 month period during which the top of the line Xeon is moving from a 700MHZ Chip with an list price around $2,000 to a 2000MHZ Chip with a list price of $615 - and that Xeon ASPs are moving from around $900 to around $300.

Or are you convinced that the marketing and availability of $400 1.8GHZ Xeons will have no effect on the sales of $2,000 700MHZ Xeons?
