HI, Rich1...I loved your photo of the orchid bench.

I tried an orchid for the first time this year. I bought a Miniature Dendrobium...tiny purple flowers on this long stem. After the blooms faded, I cut the stalk back. The plant has now pretty much doubled and is in need of a larger pot. It has also put out another stem with more tiny flowers.

I'm excited because I've always been told they were hard to grow. I honestly have done nothing to this plant. It sits in my kitchen window and gets the morning sun and humidity from the sink. I let the soil get dry to the touch before I water and then I water thoroughly. I have some questions if you don't mind:

**When can I transplant it and into what size pot? It is in one of those small 3 1/2 " clay pots.

**Is there a particular potting mix I should use?

**When should it be fertilized? How often? What type fertilizer?

I appreciate any help with this little beauty! If this one continues to grow well, I think I will go back to Lowe's and pick up a few more! They have a large selection of orchids, especially miniature ones.
