Quite a few interesting firms on the London AIM market. It is nice to know that someone is still trying despite the current market condition, and AIM seems like a good way to float shares in the UK.

As for books: "Investing in Gold" by Goodman, another about the Hemlo discovery whose exact title I can not recall, a very old one on the Freeport Indonesia discovery in the mid-60s, and one by Paul Penna on Agnico Eagle. Being a data geek, however, I enjoy the historical stuff so a good book like "Gold Districts of California" published in 1970 by the California Division of Mines is an exciting read. One can not believe that at the peak of the Gold Rush in 1852 "only" 3.9moz were produced, with 35moz produced from 1848-to-1864. The crazy things we humans do for gold ;)
