Ltd began operations Wednesday, the latest U.S.-based telecom company to launch its services in Japan's changing communications market. Internap Japan is a joint venture of Seattle-based Internap Network Services Corp. [NASDAQ:INAP], Japanese telecom giant Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. [NYSE:NTT] and its IT systems integrator, NTT-ME Corp. From a Tokyo "Service Point," Internap Japan will provide Internet connectivity to large Japanese companies. Internap Japan uses Internap Network Services' routing with NTT's local marketing and operational resources.
