RE: MY cost basis versus ELON's IPO basis, and no splits taken into account on my rav fav list. You're still apples and oranges comparing. My cost basis on July 31, 1998 in my rav favs would have to be known by you in order for that to be a valid "performance comparison." You simply do NOT have that information at your disposal. Therefore your performance comparison is STILL rejected as invalid. You canNOT posit ELON's IPO cost + extrapolate performance and then grab MY rav fav list and proceed to assume my cost basis on that self-same ELON's IPO date is the same as the "closing price per stock on my list," like you extrapolated for my list of rav favs. Simply isn't valid argument.. FWIW, my largest holding in this faulty comparision sequence is QCOM, even using your faulty 7/31/98 IPO date, QCOM's closing price as my cost basis which it is NOT! So I still win. Just thought I'd save that squelcher...incase you came up for air one more time! RE: goldbug derog labelling--sorry for your lousy familiar experiences in that arena. That's NO reflection upon me. Nor should I ever be painted with that derog labelling personal experience of yours by you again. I REPEAT: NOT a valid comparison emanating from you. ELON over time...fine with me. I'm not as rosy on them over time, you are. Carry on. YOUR OT JDSU olive branch: I like 'em; am a buyer, will continue to do so through a fib retracement up into the 50 percentile range of this last downward "spiral". In my opinion, they are a category killer. They've written off/down the kitchen sink and the family dining room, plus the den and the triple car garage. What a Babe Ruth in a home-run category!
