Hi Zeev:

For GAAP reporting they should be able to recognize the goodwill write off net of tax (a deferred tax) but on the tax return (current) the triggering event will be the sale of the stock.

Even the deferred tax asset on the balance sheet may be impaired, especially when we are talking about these large #'s.

I have been out of accounting policy / research for a while and don't have a current pulse on this.
