Rambi, to a vegetarian [some of them] a bunch of cattle in a pen, waiting for slaughter, isn't much different from a bunch of people in a pen, waiting for slaughter. From a DNA point of view, it's not a lot different.

Some people draw their lines of identity very tightly around them [recognizing only immediate family and friends as part of themselves]. Others draw it wider, to include their local community [but not any weird ethnic interlopers]. Others wider to include their whole god-favoured country, the greatest country on earth. Others include all people [though not the damn Catholics or Moslems or other heathens]. Others take it to the max on people. Some see chimps and other mammals as so people-like that they bring them into the fold. Others claim to put all living things in the fold [which of course excludes plants or they'd get really hungry].

It's a dog eat dog world. Or, in China, a human eat St Bernard world. Anyway, I'm off to do some surrogate hunting of golf balls. Whacking them really hard!!
