'the Governor of Texas isn't as powerful as the Lt. Governor of Texas!!!! In her book, Shrub , Molly Ivins, another Texan, says in her introduction that Texas is known for its weak-governor system. She claims the Governor of Texas occupies the fifth most powerful office, "behind lieutenant governor, attorney general, comptroller, and land commissioner but ahead of agriculture commissioner and railroad commissioner." Bull Bullock was the Lt. Governor during "W" first term, and "W" did what he was told to do. If you disagree take it up with Molly, but I wouldn't criticize the system because Molly is proud to be a Texan!!! Sorry for the late reply!!! Hope works goes well! Cheers, M....
