Having industry people posting here make sense...

...but I would not want to invest in a junior who has its president posting hundreds and thousands message on its companies thread.

Here's a thread for discussion of the pros and cons of management posting - Subject 16262
... there most certainly are hazards, but i think a smart person can put out straight plain talk without crossing any regulatory lines or losing respect ... as for time spent - well it really doesn't take much time per week to keep up with the most active single thread here, and you know that already the great majority of management are keeping an eye on their stock-specific threads .... i think that it is useful to regard the principal purpose of online chat as entertainment, and any education collected along the way as a byproduct [and thusly more effective, by a quirk of human nature] ... and even management is entitled to a little free time

'And if not, no doubt this group would tend to "self-regulate" that.' - exactly, precisely ... you one savvy hombre, amigo [so is Claude, but i disagree with him on this single matter] ..... so far this morning xcl.to has traded at .125 and ymc.u.v at .32 - i shoulda got up earlier ... but man it's hard when they run the exchanges on backeast hours, eh ... cheers

> Personally I'd like to see more industry people posting here

For every minute an insider spends posting here, it is one less minute spent on raising funds or finding gold, unless the posts are promotional in nature which would defeat the purpose of having them post. I'm sure there are plenty of SEC and other regulations involved and suspect they would not comment on other mining firms..
