As opposed to any other form of government "porkfest"? But you make a good point about all of our FICA tax we pay to support the SSTF, to the point that it is in surplus. The government borrows that surplus, spends it, and puts a government IOU in the SSTF that will have to be paid off by future generations. You'd think that they give that surplus back and let people invest it for themselves.. Or even have mandatory savings (save it, or give it to Uncle Sam to save for you). Hawk
