I think you are seeing only the "positive", you are "wishing a summer rally", I am not sure where it will come from, no more "painting of lousy earnings as great achievements in these hard times", not much more on the easing side left either, and both Japan and Europe are simultaneously slipping away.

Zeev, You could be right that I am just "wishing a summer rally". The reason I came to the rally conclusion is that I can't see a significant selloff in the Nasdaq anytime soon (outlined my reasons in past posts). There are also hints of positives coming from companies or at least the news is being intrepreted as positive by investors who just want a reason to deploy cash.
Either we stay flat or go up is my prediction and I take that as a reason to invested in select technology sectors.

There are more interest rate cuts ahead unless the economy picks up steam. Greenspan will want to do more cuts than he really believes the market needs....just in case he is wrong about a recovery.

After Koizumu' victory, it is possible that Japan is going to institute some tough measures (which will help long term) resulting in increased unemployment, writing off "unperforming assets' thus "taking out for the time being the "eastern locomotive of world GDP.

At least their stock market may finally start responding. The market has painted the negative picture for years now.
I am looking for Japanese ADRs...so far Sony, Honda and few others that I plan to look--in addition to the ishares for Japan index. (MSFT X-box could be a problem for Sony so I am just looking to trade it for a bounce soon.) Have not bought yet.

BTW--are you still expecting the market to go down hard --several hundred points?
