I closed some short puts today too. For a nice profit I may add. I opened them on Wednesday when I called the near term bottom at $15.6

Shall I call a near term top now? Well, actions speak better then words. <g>

bacchus, new product announcements unfortunately don't do much for stock prices compared with upgrades or downgrades. Jon Joseph is trying his bottom call again today:

11:22 ET Joseph on Semis : Salomon Smith Barney analyst Jon Joseph's note on semis this morning noted that he is finally seeing "bottoms up" support for his April upgrade of the sector; specifically cites the relative stability in the spot market for microprocessors and general firmness in DRAM prices.
