One needs to index the weight of the PC with the battery life though

Presario AMD 2h59m 7.3 lbs (14" LCD)
Dell Intel 2h35m 8 lbs (but has 15" LCD)
HP Intel 3h22m 6.3 lbs 15" display
HP AMD 3h19m 7.6 lbs 15" display (lower res ?: weight difference)
IBM Intel 2h31m 5.4lbs 14" display

The average intel system weighs less or has a larger display. For one extra pound

panasonic.com (see page 2)

one can get about 90 Wh of extra power which should result in at least 2 extra hours of use (My Dell gets 2.5 hrs on 80 Wh - assuming they are using the same Inspiron batteries (5.4Ah/14.4V) then one can expect at least 2 hours/lb - taking packaging into account)
