Ted,

More proof that you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

New Zogby Poll Gives Bush First Negative Rating

An interesting point is that the R's like theZogby polls better because they think he is more fair, aka gives them better results. But Ari "the Flack" Fleisher sure doesn't like them this time.

Zogby was the closest on calling the election, giving Gore a slight lead in the popular vote.

The poll by Zogby America, conducted among 1,006 likely voters nationwide between July 26-29, showed 47 percent gave Bush a positive job rating with 51 percent giving him a negative rating.

In June, the same poll had given Bush a 51 percent positive, 48 percent negative job performance rating. The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points.

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer (news - web sites) dismissed the poll, saying five other opinion surveys conducted in roughly the same period showed Bush with higher numbers. He said Zogby polls typically give Bush lower marks.
