too bad Intel is going to relegate it to Celeron and X-box status so they can "move the industry to the
P4"...otherwise the Tualatin makes the P4 look less than stellar.

Funny thing, Anand noticed that too.

It wasn’t by accident that the Pentium III 1.2 that happens to be able to outperform a 1.5GHz Pentium 4 in many cases will be priced at twice the cost of that very CPU which it outperforms. By the end of this year, the Pentium III will be gone, replaced by the Pentium 4 in every way imaginable.

Costs twice as much, probably cost 1/3 as much to produce, but Intel knows where we want to go, Today! Oops, that was supposed to be Bill.
