I remembered someone asked about Ammo's nickname but I got so behind this weekend-- DAR has been so quiet that this sudden eruption of posts left me all confused-- and I couldn't remember who it was. Must have been you! Ammo loved basketball, was athletic, and was playing on a team one division up with his older brother (which in retrospect I would never do again, and to all you sports dads, suggest you not push your kids ahead even if they're good). One weekend we rented Pistol Pete, the movie about Pete Maravich, and Dan said to Ammo, who was then known as Adam, you need a nickname like Pistol Pete, (or something like that), and Ammo said, I think I'm too little to be a pistol, but maybe I can be the ammunition. And thus we started calling him Ammo. Our older son, CHristian, is called C-Dub, short for CW
