Heck, Rambus' CFO said they were going to have 3 quarters of just scraping by, and he didn't say it was going to get better after that. Most recent quarter's earnings was $0.04, that's only 16 cents per year, and 30 x that is below the current price

They are not going to just scrape by, barring a miracle in the courts they are going to make a loss this current quarter and possibly the next quarter as well. So the fwd p/e is about 100+ (in round numbers)

Cheers
Cor

Hey Carl, as you can see, I don't know a darn thing about RMBS, just looking for some technical bounce back in 7s.
If 7 break then it will likely go down to low 5s. I'm hoping 7 to be rock bottom in mid term...

I do have long term holding in retirement accounts but basically I'm only a short term trader (less than 3 months holding).
Don't you think the long term investors usually look beyond 3 quarters of earnings though? Like few years in the future?

Besides, I don't think no one really cares about P/E anymore <GG>

What do you think the chance of RMBS go bankrupt in next 3 years? (10%? 50%?,,,,)
As I read more of your posts, I am getting gloomier and feel this might be another GSTRF: great idea, great technology, but not able to execute economically to attract the customers. (If you keep at it, you'll might be able to convert me from long to shortie ;o)

I am betting that RMBS will not sink like this.
Let's hope those vicious RMBS attornies will come up with something soon.

Rgds,
