I wonder if the points gained with the essentially xenophobic core will ultimately be outweighed by the points lost with those who would rather see at least a show of consideration for the rest of the world.

I also wonder if these petty and somewhat childish displays will come back to haunt this administration someday when we need to build a coalition to confront some really pressing foreign policy concern.
