Well there was a company (Bidland) out there that let other companies run auctions off their own site making it look like it was their own auction/site but they went out of biz.

Maybe the costs of getting a site up and going and employees to keep it working is more than the fees they pay ebay. They'd have to hire a consulting firm that had it down to a science to make it worthwhile and get lots of customers. Maybe sometime in the future... when no one goes to a brick and mortar store anymore... LOL!

You're right about not returning to a site. Has to have fast page turns too.

I use ebay (or one of the other auction sites which I must admit pale in comparison) all the time now. Never had a problem getting something that was less than the seller advertised.
