To: russwinter who wrote (74222 ) 7/30/2001 10:56:52 PM From: IngotWeTrust Read Replies (3) | Respond to of 116815 I've also given this reserve replacement issue a lot of thought...for about oh, let's say 18 years I've been following this sector, and the 11 years I've been following ABX and their modus operandi for growth. I've NEVER been more heavily invested in this sector that I am now. I am just now rebuilding a couple EQUITY positions in SPECIFIC mining equities instead of playing the options game on ABX and/or XAU which I've been content to quietly do and just go about my daily mining life for about 6 years, and physically mining for the last 2.5 years. Did you notice I mentioned Clive's projects and KRY's ever hopeful Las Cristinas, and yet you chose not to respond with your superior knowledge about their defensive plans to resist a takeover when/if the time comes, even tho' you issued the "challenge? Walk the Walk, Russ. I called you on ONE stinking point and told you why. And you respond with an IQ number? Well, Mensans...take note. I ain't gonna embarrass ;em by posting my one-up ya'there, pal, number. ABX isn't about IQ! Geeze! You did NOT say "drop a good one at $265 POG" level in your original post. If THAT was the point you were trying to make, then A) you MISSED, and B) you've now added a qualifier that was absent in your original assertive post. However, point is... that is NOT what you originally said, NOR what I responded to which has subsequently made you change your previous faulty assertion significantly. AND PLEASE, Don't lump me with the plebes, deal? you wrote:" I strongly believe that many (you [gold_tutlr] are not alone) following gold are grossly overoptimistic on this reserve replacement issue AT THESE 260ish PRICES. Look into it." There you go with that qualifier again... I'm not grossly over optimistic about any reserve replacement issue, ABX or otherwise.. BUT I will repeat, when and IF ABX needs to step up to the plate and buy another "gold in the ground" to "manage their forward hedge book out 6-10 years" as your original hypothesis was, they will not only find one, but have several to chose from and at prices under $20 per oz in the ground which are ALSO economical to mine. And, furthermore, you are arrogantly repeating your arrogant thoughts again...YOU have NO idea how much reserve replacement issue thinking time I've spent on this topic. And to claim that, in writing, is Also unbelieveably misspoken as well. Good Grief. You think I'm shooting blanks. Your privilege. I am NOT shooting blanks. Never do! So, Russ, when will we be treated to your [well-thought out] rejection reponse of the Clive Portfolio of proven gold reserve properties, cost per oz in the ground and cheap to produce. You claim to want to discuss this issue intelligently, and yet, mine was the only intelligent response -- so far-- which you received, albeit a challenge to your faulty premise. So c'mon, strut yer stuff...the gang wants to hear facts and figures...and you challenged me to provide you just one name so that you could....I gave you one...so practice on it, and let's hear it, Russ. I usually like what you post, but when you flub, and I call you on it, then admit it instead of add post-partum squid ink and qualifiers that were NOT in your original error statement/posting, deal? gold_tutor
