You really are ignorant. Incredible !!

California folks living in the Sierra Mountains know that they will regularly loose power for days at a time in the winter with its snow and ice. That is is a fact of life living among 200 foot tall trees -- that the logging companies can not cut, although Bush is working on the cutting part.

They buy electric generators -- gas or more often propane powered -- that kick in when the power goes off.
