Once the revolution is over, Communist seem to become fascist. It seems to be a natural progression that communist undergo in order to maintain power in a country. After all international socialism is kind of impractical for nation building/running.

Do you consider Mao a far left or a far right dictator, what about Pol Pot? Or do leftist become conservatives once they come to power. That way state murder can always be blamed on the right.

Stalin and Hitler were far right wing dictators

LOL! And they were able to gain the compliance of the "common man" by railing against the rich and trying to "distribute the wealth". The message is quite appealing as we have seen what people were willing to do to prop up such a system. We have also seen the destructiveness of it as well, have'nt we?

Gore's message was a similar populus message.

"I will fight for you!!!!"

Those who ignore history are bound to repeat it:

The Fall Of A Republic
When the thirteen colonies were still a part of England, Professor Alexander Tyler wrote about the fall of the Athenian republic over two thousand years previous to that time:

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the
candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a
dictatorship.

The average age of the world's great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to
selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency to apathy, from apathy to
dependency, from dependency back to bondage.
