there is a certain nervousness until the gorilla emerges since one isn't certain until then that a gorilla market even exists.

Amen to that. It's totally understandable why people with less tolerance for risk should wait until a Gorilla is selected. As an example, I still believe my strategy was right to buy SanDisk stock when the product's first tornado occured. I also think my strategy was right to sell the stock when I came to the conclusion that the likelihood is strong that no series of tornados in that market will create a Gorilla. However, the first strategy would be wrong for someone with less tolerance for risk than mine.
