Get this now, or not at all; I won't repeat it again. No relevant comparison can be drawn between media coverage of Kyoto or BMD and media coverage of the development of the implementing regulations for NAFTA. It's apples and oranges. Actually more remote than that; more like apples and marbles.

You can draw relevant comparisons between coverage of the debates over NAFTA and the debates over Kyoto and BMD. You could draw a relevant comparison between coverage of the development of implementing regulations for NAFTA and the development of other sets of implementing regulations. But a comparison between coverage of the debate over a treaty and coverage of the debate over the development of implementing regulations of a treaty is not relevant. It's like comparing coverage of the surrender of Imperial Japan with coverage of the development of the terms of surrender.

There is no need to bring ideology into everything. It is not always a significant factor. It is always boring, even in the few cases where it does approach significance.
