Fire Chief Neocon, The Defender of the Flock, you are a true work of art.

You left out a few examples of "piling on" didn't you?

Has Dan Rather Gone Missing?
Are CBS executives hoping that Dan Rather might go the way
of Chandra Levy?

Well, RatherBiased.com, an internet site that monitors
Rather's activities (or lack of them), reports today that just may be the case.

The site alerted its readers today: "After a year of extensive bad press for Dan Rather, CBS has removed Dan Rather's name from a 'feedback form' on CBSNEWS.com, which until recently listed the Texan's name on a drop-down list of shows."

According to RatherBiased, the new list offers "CBS Evening News w/John Roberts." But no mention of Dapper Dan.

The feedback simply omits any mention of their $7 million anchor, referring to his program as "CBS Evening News."

RatherBiased.com notes "the form is designed to allow viewers to give their suggestions to the network, but CBS News's highest profile personality has most likely been the subject of viewers' comments with his recent gaffes and provocative comments."

Could it be that negative feedback fromNewsMax readers caused CBS honchos to deep-six Dan's name from their internet billboard?

The disappearance of Dan's name from the CBS web site raises some interesting possibilities.

If Dan Rather just stopped showing up on CBS Evening News, would any one notice? Would any one care?

Would ratings increase?

And if Dan's disappearance was just like all of those other missing persons cases, would CBS Evening News even bother to report the story?

Would the other network news programs, which lead CBS in the ratings, even worry about their unwanted brother Dan at the failing network?

Just some food for thought from the peanut gallery.

On the basis of that post I think we would justified in calling him Snot Nose from now on.
