Hot new development, courtesy of Prospect Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates and Schroder Ventures. For quite some time, we've had some older public companies going south at the same time that investment capital is flooding private companies. The solution? Prospect Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates and Schroder Ventures stepped in and lubricated the takeout of a public company (MCDE) by a private, platform company (Althexis). The platform company inherits validated targets and clinical candidates. Pretty cool, and think of the theme variations! VCs can do innovative things with their cash right now.
