tsk tsk...you mean your parents actually judged your actions. I thought that was out of vogue. Oh well, every body can't have cool parents like Steven who wants his kids to get as much experience as possible. I hope at least that his neighbors are responsible enough to keep their farm animals locked up.

I think it would be effective because I saw how well it worked on my brothers and myself.

That's a good model. But I don't see how we expand upon a successful one-family scenario to public policy. What do we do with all the kids who don't have families like yours? Do you think that a teacher could have as much affect on kids?

As I look at your model, I don't see decency as the salient motivator. It looks more like respect, to me.
