Any tax rebate will roughly equal higher energy bills for the average American, sometimes not enough to pay those higher energy bills. Since the energy prices were manipulated upwards by the Bush/Cheney crowd they have in effect stolen the entire tax cut and put it into their pockets. Wise up no matter which party you're in. Even a die-hard Republican doesn't want his party to be ripping him off for the sake of more pollution in the world. They didn't need to do it but they did it anyway just to screw us all and enrich themselves. It is the main reason Bush's popularity is sinking and he may eventually be skewered on his own sword. Cheney too. Afterall he is probably the real engineer of this massive scam against people of all parties. Only those in the oil patch and OPEC gained. Now Bush/Cheney have announced they want higher oil prices. OPEC is cooperating by cutting production again. They work as a team now. And Bush lied to us saying his expertise would be necessary to fix the problem. Right. The problem his cronies created in the first place. What a huge con job.
