Actually cleaner gas costs only 5 cents a gallon but California is still being gouged. Average price now 40 cents higher. Natural Gas even worst thanks to Bush allies Williams and El Paso Gas. Electricity thanks to Bush allies Enron, James Baker, Duke and Reliant. Their motive is for more pollution and higher prices both. Two evils in one. I've been researching the subject and they are pressing for zero price regulation (and look what happened in January when they got it), very little pollution control (rolling back Clean Air Bill) and increased drilling in fragile wilderness areas. The usually non-partisan National Petroleum Council (once trusted to be pro-America after WWII) is now the organization that wields the power alongside The White House and even OPEC. All the CEO's belong to it and they are unified like never before. They want your environment and your dollars both. LET'S STOP THEM! Nobody wins except them if they get their way. Quit trying to defend them. We should all be green. We all breathe air afterall. And contrary to Bush's lies last summer-fall they aim to keep prices higher not lower by mass collusion outside the control of weakened regulators, actually regulators now replaced by Energy Cartel cronies. Beginning to see the true picture?
