What I see for the XAU and HUI for the month of August is only beneficial if you are short. Today's early rally, which completely fizzled out, only adds further confirmation to my view that these markets are headed much lower. I'm expecting XAU 43-45 to produce some sort of bottom. I don't even want to consider the XAU breaking below the October 2000 lows yet. That would mean the POG is headed much lower. For now, I'm glad I'm net short Gold Stocks, with puts on the gold indices. Gold stocks are in deep trouble here IMO.
