"CV-9’s 3508 Caterpillars and Northern Lights generators were de-rated to 1200 maximum rpm making for less noise and vibration. This allows the yacht to not only use just an economical 16 gallons per hour per engine at 11 knots, but also operate for unlimited periods of time at maximum rpm.
