It's how they vote on organization that makes a difference. It's especially important in the Senate, where the "conservative" Dems from the South get brow-beaten by Puff to shill for things like the Trial Lawyers Bill of Rights. I wouldn't give you 2-cents for any "blue dog" Democrat. The key Republican tasks are now to beat them where they're weak in 2002, and purge, as necessary, liberal Republicans from the caucaus. You can't fight a war with the enemy in your trenches...
