Some people, who did not get carried away by enthusiasm for the tech boom, stayed out and are very pleased with themselves for it. Now they post on our board perhaps to teach us but mostly to demonstrate their superiority. Investment is not a game of who's best. We want to make money and benefit from our mistakes. Everybody has some wisdom and some ignorance. We want continuously to decrease the latter and increase the former. Ad hominem remarks to the effect that "now that you've made such mistakes, how will you support your family" have nothing to do with our task which is to learn and teach what we've learned. Anyway it would be interesting to hear various opinions on which of the real gorillas, not the kings, are undervalued or overvalued now. Also to know the bases of people's judgement on these matters, i.e. their valuation metrics. And if anybody knows how to put posters on ignore, I would be grateful for a PM of instruction about that.
