Jacob,
I started by asking you a question. In my haste, and thanks to some private pm's that pointed out the same things you just said, I realized my technical question as I phrased it was wrong. I did know that EMC was storage, yet I was asking a different question of you, regarding chips and testing equipment. Don't discredit me by posting what my favorite stocks are listed on my bio, or how long I've been a member of SI. I admitted I was a novice. You are the weakest link. Goodbye.

Studying techstocks for hours on end is fruitless.Even the CEO's are clueless...so what does that make analysts?..Remember the Stock Market revolves on HYPE and the sooner you find that out the smarter you will be.Nobody foresaw the debacle of the last year. The key was diversification which I unfortunately didn't adhere to and have noone to blame but myself. My father was right....the Stock Market is not "investing",it"s "gambling"!

<<But it is a game where people who spend 800 hours studying a stock, consistently beat people who spend 8 hours (or 8 minutes) studying a stock.>>

dude, 800 hours, assuming I am working full time, which is 40 hours a week, that would take 20 weeks, just to study a stock !!!
you might be better off studying women, I think it will take less time and the outcome more pleasurable ...

actually I seldom take more than 8 minutes to study a stock, they are just not sexy enough ...
