Gus..... this is ridiculous... Just look at about oct 90 and oct 00.... I didn't even throw in companies like csco and dell. At best, performance by emc during exactly that start and end date is a technicality. There were many who reached higher in between. What has been going on since march 2000 is mostly what sector had how much hype or bad news or trouble at certain times...They've all headed down, just different short term timing. It's just another example of emc's spin on facts. The only way to be fair, is to look at who reached the highest during that time. Not who peaked at an exact date and just barely beat out the big winners at that exact time only. It's like a 9th place marathoner going around telling everybody that he was fastest when timing from mile marker 9 to mile marker 21.....so what?
