a riot Dave, and gives a major message.I better read SlaughterHouse Five again. Read it when it came out,but it just isn't vivid anymore,in fact, outside of the Dresden Horror,i am drawing a blank.(Vonnegut's real-life event,of course)
Have you read "Hocus-Pocus" yet--i have it in my to read pile, which as always is mountainous in height:)
My 30th promise to read "Moby Dick" during the summer has once again failed.Max
p.s. i am addicted to trivia,in fact my dentist keeps offering to give me an anti-trivia antibiotic. He says i am actually infected with triviacus bacillus.
He offered this when through cotton and tools in my mouth i slurred "do you know what became of Claribell(sp?)??"
With that in mind,i was just perusing my people bookmarks and noted 94 out 97 are still posting--that's remarkable i think.
of the three that are no longer posting.Edwarda is deceased(a sudden illness, i have to get back to see if mystery was ever solved)
Sandra, from Florida, and her tales of her pet iguana that she used to walk on the beach, with it wearing a small sombrero, has vanished.
And,StreetWalker--who's last post tells how he lost everything.

CD, Have you read "God Is My Broker" by Cristopher Buckley? A real stitch. The subtitle is "The 6 1/2 Rules of Successful Investing", or something like that. He goes after both the Wall Street analyst/brokers and the Steven Covey types at the same time. It's a great short read.

Doug

Read that book as a young lad, before investing was part of my reality, and completely missed the passage you referenced. Just might have to read it again to find the many other gems I surely wasn't able to fully appreciate the first time through. He is in fact my favorite author of all time and I selfishly grieved his passing as I thought there would be no further works to look forward to. Perhaps I just need to look backwards to them and let the time-space continuum take care of itself. So it goes...
