from RealMoney Trader's TRack:

Jay Shartsis
MSFT
8/01/01 10:13 AM ET
Nice piece on Microsoft (MSFT:Nasdaq) from Bernie Schaeffer. He thinks the stock is under
serious distribution and points to the "very good"
news from the Federal Appeals Court which
resulted in but a one-day rally. Two weeks after
this widely hailed event, the stock was 7 points
below the level it was at before the news. Shortly
thereafter, the company announced that it would
meet its revenue target and this set off another
sharp rally which also soon reversed back down.
Schaeffer thinks that the action here is quite
negative and as important as MSFT is, a bad omen
for the rest of the Dow industrials, which he
believes to be under similar distribution. To his
analysis I would add that there has been plenty of
call buying for MSFT options, which I take to be
quite bearish and I'm looking to short the stock
soon.
