On the benchmarks, I suspect that both the PII-M and A4 were actually running at full speed. Why did the PII-M get should good marks? Don't know, But it did for the software that people use on notebooks. And the products tested are supplied by major vendors and available.

For the notebook user, the performance choice is pretty clear. And a lot of buyers will look at the PC mag review because, as you pointed out earlier, that is who reviews notebooks. Not Tom's, Anand, etc.
